Recently, China LNG market has risen sharply. In some regions, it has reached over 7,000 RMB/ ton. According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, the average price of domestic LNG on December 11 was 5,366 RMB/ ton, up 31.75% compared with the beginning of the month, 52.9% month on month, and 29.32% higher than the same period last year.
The price of domestic liquefied natural gas (LNG) rose 30% in half a month. The price of LNG in Shaanxi, Shanxi, Henan and other places has risen to more than 7,000 RMB/ ton. With the sudden drop of temperature, the demand for urban fuel has increased significantly. In order to ensure the people's livelihood, there are many gas restricted and shut-down enterprises this week. The overall market operating rate is less than 30%. The supply has been greatly tightened, and the contradiction between supply and demand has intensified, so that the price of LNG has risen sharply. However, it is difficult to deal with high prices. Meanwhile, in order to maintain the market order, Shaanxi took the lead in reducing prices 1,000 yuan on November 15. Other regions adjusted their quotations according to their own shipment conditions, with obvious fluctuations. The contradiction between supply and demand in the market is difficult to change in a short time. The price of LNG is still at a high level. The market will return to rationality in the future.
Data show that LNG continues to maintain a rapid growth. The import of LNG has changed from increase to decrease. In November, the production of LNG was 16.9 billion cubic meters, an increase of 11.8% year-on-year, 0.1% lower than that of the previous month; the daily output of LNG was 560 million cubic meters, an increase of 30 million cubic meters on a month on month basis. From January to November, 170.2 billion cubic meters of LNG were produced, with a year-on-year increase of 9.3%. In November, 9.18 million tons of LNG were imported, a year-on-year decrease of 3.0% and an increase of 16.1% last month. From January to November, imported LNG was 90.44 million tons, up 3.9% year on year.
With the sharp decline in the supply and demand of LNG, SunSirs analysts believe that the supply and demand of LNG is still strong in China. With the sudden drop of temperature, the demand for urban fuel has increased significantly. In order to ensure the people's livelihood, there are still many gas restricted and shut-down enterprises. The market supply is sharply reduced, and the contradiction between supply and demand is highlighted. The situation is difficult to change in the short term. It is expected that the LNG market will be strong and volatile, and the trend will remain firm.
