Russia’s polypropylene (PP) production increased in January-October by 31% year on year to 1.53m tonnes, according to MRC’s ScanPlast report.
SIBUR’s ZapSibNeftekhim facilities in Tobolsk, east Russia, accounted for the main increase.
Producers Nizhnekamskneftekhim, Tomskneftekhim, Neftekhimiya, and Stavrolen (a subsidiary of Lukoil) also increased PP output during the 10-month period.
Omsk Poliom and Ufaorgsintez posted lower output in January-October as both underwent scheduled maintenance towards the end of the period.
