Gladstone LNG exports edge up in October

  LNG exports from the three liquefaction plants located on Curtis Island off Gladstone edged up when compared to the corresponding month in 2019.



  Gladstone Ports Corporation’s shipping data shows that the three liquefaction plants exported a total of 31 cargoes during the month. The cargoes had a total volume of 2.01 million tons of chilled fuel.



  This compares with 30 cargoes Gladstone LNG facilities exported in October 2019 totaling 1.98 million tons.



  Exports also edged up when compared to the 28 cargoes amounting to 1.84 million tons of LNG shipped in the previous month.



  South Korea imported 342,070 tons followed by Malaysia with 189,280 tons of LNG. Singapore and Japan received 141,863 tons and 127,999 tons of LNG, respectively.



  For the calendar year so far, the three plants shipped a total of 275 LNG cargoes. Volumes of LNG exported reached 18.13 million tons during the period.



  During the corresponding period in 2019, the three plants also exported 275 LNG cargoes. However, volumes totaled 18.33 million tons in 2019.



  The LNG export plants located on Curtis Island include Shell’s Queensland Curtis LNG, Santos Gladstone LNG, and the ConocoPhillips-operated Australia Pacific LNG terminal.
