Imports of prestressed concrete steel wire strand (PC strand) from seven countries were sold in the US for less than normal value, the Department of Commerce said in a preliminary antidumping determination Nov. 13.

As a result, Commerce set preliminary dumping margins of 2.96%-72.28% for Indonesia, 3.67%-19.26% for Italy, 3.7%-18.93% from Malaysia, 59.27% for South Africa, 14.75% for Spain, 32.72% for Tunisia and 19.32% for Ukraine.
Commerce is scheduled to announce its final determinations in the cases by April 2, 2021.

Commerce in May initiated AD duty investigations concerning PC strand imports from 15 countries and a countervailing duty investigation concerning these imports from Turkey.

Domestic PC strand producers Insteel Wire Products, Sumiden Wire Products and Wire Mesh Corp. petitioned Commerce for an investigation into these imports in April.

Commerce is currently scheduled to announce its final determinations in the AD cases involving PC strand imports from Argentina, Colombia, Egypt, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabi, Taiwan, Turkey and the UAE on Dec. 2.
