China cut gasoil imports from four countries that supplied gasoil to it in November, showed the data from the General Administration of Customs. The country imported gasoil from only five countries in the month.
The country imported 183,975 tonnes of gasoil from South Korea in November, down by 25% month on month and it reduced imports from Russia by 62% to 16,832 tonnes, according to the data. Meanwhile, China cut gasoil imports from Singapore by 97% and reduced those from Thailand by 94%.
China imported much less gasoil via bonded trading in the month, while it imported about 160,000 tonnes of gasoil under general trading.
China's gasoil imports from South Korea amounted to 1.10m tonnes in January-November 2011, up by 159% from the same period in 2010, the data also indicated. This volume accounted for 50% of the country's gasoil imports in the period.
