All four main US butadiene producers were heard nominating contracts down 10-17 cents/lb ($220-$375/mt) for their December contract prices, sources said.
The first producer to nominate was ExxonMobil, down 10 cents at 105 cents/lb. This was matched by a second producer, LyondellBasell, according to another source. A third nomination followed at minus 15 cents/lb to 100 cents/lb by Shell. The fourth and final main producer, TPC Group, was heard announcing its December nomination at 98 cents/lb on Tuesday down 17 cents/lb, a source said.
The contract price for December was not heard settled by time of publication.
In November, the US butadiene contract price settled at 115 cents/lb for all four main producers, down from October's 140-145 cents/lb split settlement.
