French Gaztransport & Technigaz has received an orders from Korean shipyard Hyundai Heavy Industries for the design of two LNG carriers, GTT said Monday.
The first vessel will have a capacity of 180,000 cu m and the second 174,000 cu m.
The deliveries are scheduled between the fourth quarter of 2021 and the first quarter of 2022.
The two shipowners remain confidential at this stage, GTT said in a statement.
GTT has already received orders for the design of 18 LNG tankers so far this year, the same amount of tankers ordered for all of 2018, S&P Global Platts data shows.
The increase of orders goes in line with the good steady performance of the LNG market, CEO Philippe Berterottiere said in April.
