China Coal Shaanxi Yulin Energy & Chemical plans to start up one of its two new light olefins recovery units at Yulin, Shaanxi province, in 2013, technology provider Lummus Technology said Tuesday.
The units are expected to have a combined capacity of 300,000 mt/year of ethylene and 300,000 mt/year of propylene. It is not clear when the second unit will come online.
Lummus said that its olefins conversion technology will enable China Coal to convert by-products produced by the recovery units into an additional 165,000 mt/year of propylene
