London — Norwegian natural gas flows into the UK's Entry SEGAL Pipeline System will be affected for a third day on Wednesday as 'corrective maintenance' has been extended, Norwegian gas operator Gassco said Tuesday.
Capacity on the pipeline, which delivers gas from the Norwegian Continental Shelf into the St. Fergus complex in Scotland, will see a 2.3 million cu m/d volume impact during Wednesday's gas day, identical to the impact for Tuesday's gas day but lower than the 2.9 million cu m/d impact during Monday's gas day.
Flows of gas through the system were running at 20 million cu m/d Tuesday morning, Gassco reported.
Total Norwegian gas flows were running at 257 million cu m/d Tuesday morning, Gassco reported, but were set to receive a boost from Wednesday morning onwards with the return to full capacity of the 144.5 million cu m/d Kollsnes gas processing plant.
The facility currently has a 24.5 million cu m/d reduction in capacity for "yearly maintenance" which is due to be completed by the end of Tuesday's gas day.
On the back of the expectations of higher Norwegian pipeline gas exports, spot prices across Northwest Europe eased back in Tuesday morning trade.
The TTF day-ahead contract was dealt at Eur28.375/MWh Tuesday morning, almost a euro lower than the previous assessment for the contract of Eur29.30/MWh.
