China added about 1.1-bil mt of proved oil reserves in 2010, according to a recent bulletin from the Ministry of Land and Resources of PRC.
The country boosted investment in oil, gas and minerals by 6.7% in 2010 and discovered two large oil fields, the bulletin said.
China added 203-mil mt of proved oil and gas in the Tarim oil field in Xinjiang in 2010, C1 record showed. Meanwhile, it discovered an oilfield with hundreds of millions of metric tons of proved oil in northern Huan County in Gansu Province, Northwest China.
