HARBIN - Daqing Oilfield, the largest oilfield run by PetroChina, produced 20.68 million tonnes of crude oil and natural gas in the first half of this year and saw its revenue rise by 23.5 percent.
The oilfield produced 2.23 billion cubic meters of natural gas in the first six months, up 12.24 percent year on year, the oil and gas producer said.
It sold more than 1.46 billion cubic meters of natural gas, up by 15.84 percent year on year. The oilfield has set a target of selling 2.72 billion cubic meters of natural gas in 2018.
Discovered in 1959, Daqing Oilfield is located in Northeast China's Heilongjiang province. For many years, the oilfield had an annual output exceeding 50 million tonnes of crude oil, but output has shrunk due to dwindling reserves.
