China Prosperity Jiangyin Petrochemical, also known as Hanbang Petrochemical, will shut its No 2 purified terephthalic acid plant Thursday evening for 15 days of planned maintenance, a company source said Thursday afternoon.
Meanwhile, its No 1 600,000 mt/year PTA plant is expected to restart soon, after shutting down unexpectedly due to a mechanical problem on June 3, the source added.
The No 1 plant was shut for one month's maintenance in February and restarted March 4.
