Colonial Pipeline's line 34, which delivers jet fuel into Baltimore-Washington International Airport, was fully allocated for cycle 29 Monday, a first for the product line.

"To the best of our knowledge, this line has not been allocated before," Colonial Pipeline spokesman Steve Baker said.

Line 34, which exclusively ships jet fuel, spurs from Colonial's 1.16 million b/d distillates line 2.

"Allocation results when customers nominate more barrels on a cycle than the line can transport," Baker said.

Line 34 nominations out of Dorsey, Mississippi, delivering to BWI, were also frozen for cycles 27 and 28, according to a freeze notice the company issued Friday.

Freezes and allocations have occurred regularly in the last five years on other Colonial lines, including the two main distillate and gasoline lines that carry 2.5 million b/d from Houston to Greensboro, North Carolina, but also many other spur lines.

A look through past shipper notices since that time, did not show any for Line 34.
