China's two major orthoxylene producers, Sinopec and PetroChina, raised their domestic ex-tank prices by Yuan 200/mt Monday, an end-user said Tuesday.
Sinopec's new price is Yuan 6,500/mt, or about $859.80/mt on an import-parity basis, while PetroChina's new price is Yuan 6,200/mt, or about $820.20/mt on an import-parity basis.
The last time Sinopec and PetroChina raised OX prices was on April 18, also by Yuan 200/mt.
The international spot price of OX was last assessed May 11 at $815/mt CFR China, up $8/mt week on week, S&P Global Platts data shows.
