Enterprise Products Partners is expected to begin commissioning its ninth NGL fractionator in Mont Belvieu, Texas, on Friday in work that will last through next week, according to a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
The filing lists the duration of commissioning of Friday through May 12.
"We are on schedule to bring it into service later this quarter," spokesman Rick Rainey said in an email.
The 85,000 b/d Fractionator IX, along with a propane dehydrogenation unit and an isobutane dehydrogenation unit, was built on 1,729 acres of land Enterprise purchased in 2011 as it looked to expand its plants and brine capacity, according to a March 2017 analyst presentation.
The addition of the latest fractionator will bring Enterprise's NGL production capacity in Mont Belvieu to 740,000 b/d.
