Sinopec Maoming Petrochemical plans to process 1.24-mil mt of crude in October, with daily throughput down by 1-2% from the previous month, a company source said.
The company will restart its 1.2-mil-mt/yr jet hydrogenation unit on Oct 6, the source said, adding it shut the unit for turnaround on Sep 27.
Maoming Petrochemical, located in Maoming City of South China’s Guangdong Province, has an annual topping capacity of 13.5-mil mt. It mainly consumes high-sulfur crude from the Middle East and supplies most oil products to South and Southwest China.
