Trinseo and Styrolution have increased their European February styrenics prices amid a hike in costs, according to announcements on their website.
Trinseo's GPPS and HIPS prices for February were raised by Eur135/mt ($168.50/mt), while ABS prices were increased by Eur100/mt ($125/mt) on the month.
Styrolution increased its GPPS prices by Eur140/mt and ABS prices by Eur120/mt.
No outright indications were announced by either companies.
Feedstock costs have increased in February.
The February styrene monomer contract price was fully settled at Eur1,395/mt, up Eur130/mt on the month on Thursday. The butadiene contract price was fully settled at Eur800/mt, up Eur50/mt on the month.
The acrylonitrile contract price is expected to settle at the end of the month and expectations are bullish.
S&P Global Platts assessed the GPPS January net contract price at Eur1,450/mt FD NWE and the ABS January contract price at Eur1,825/mt FD NWE both on Wednesday.
The latest announced increases were in line with market expectations.
