OxyVinyls on Wednesday announced a second US price increase for polyvinyl chloride in as many months, according to a letter to customers obtained by S&P Global Platts.
The Dallas-based division of Occidental Petroleum told customers that domestic prices for PVC will rise 4 cents/lb on March 1, on top of a previously announced 3 cents/lb increase effective February 1.
PVC is used to make plastic pipes, vinyl siding, window frames, flooring and other plastics.
