One of Ineos' Cologne acrylonitrile units in Germany has begun a week-long outage, a source close to the company said Tuesday.
The unit is the bigger of two ACN units at the site, and went offline at the weekend.
The unit has a capacity of 210,000 mt/year and has gone offline for repairs and cleaning.
The outage is expected to add tightness to the European ACN market in the first quarter.
