Australia-listed miner Universal Coal has nudged up its fiscal 2017-2018 (July-June) coal production guidance for its mines, which are in South Africa, following strong performances, the company said Wednesday.
It's now expecting coal tonnages to total 4.6 million mt, and 2.9 million mt attributable, which is up from 4.5 million mt and 2.8 million mt, respectively, estimated in September.
Its Kangala thermal coal operation exceeded the projected sales by approximately 200,000 mt in the six months ending December.
