Ineos Styrolution has nominated a monthly increase of Eur20/mt ($24/mt) for its European general purpose polystyrene price in January, it said.
The company did not specify the outright number for the GPPS price.
The increase follows a Eur10/mt rise in the January styrene monomer contract price, which was fully settled Wednesday at Eur1,265/mt.
The company added that the surcharge for high impact polystyrene was Eur100/mt.
Trading in the GPPS market has been quiet so far this week after the holidays.
The GPPS spot market was pegged stable since late December at around Eur1,365/mt by a trader on Wednesday.
