EU ethyl acetate exports in September rose sharply month on month to 3,351 mt, which was down 2% year on year, Eurostat data showed, as the key railway link between northern and southern Europe was out of commission.
Imports rose 39% year on year to 21,877 mt, down 9% month on month.
Butyl acetate imports in September more than tripled year on year to 2,511 mt, which was 6% lower month on month. Exports declined 46% year on year and 39% month on month to 608 mt.
European spot butyl acetate markets were assessed unchanged week on week at Eur1,060/mt ($1,250/mt) FD NWE Tuesday.
