Flint Hills Resources has restarted Tuesday its 545,000 mt/year propane dehydrogenation unit in Houston, a source with knowledge of operations said Tuesday.
"It had a brief problem on Friday but is back up now," the source said.
A company spokeswoman could not be reached for confirmation.
The PDH unit last saw an unexpected shutdown on August 16 due to a loss of instrument air on compressor seal steam control valves and was restarted two days after, market sources said.
In markets, spot polymer-grade propylene was assessed Tuesday at 45.25-45.75 cents/lb FD USG for October deliveries and at 44.875-45.375 cents/lb FD USG for November deliveries.
