Styrolution's force majeure on acrylonitrile butadiene styrene for delivery to Italy and Switzerland remained in place Wednesday despite supply concerns easing, a source with knowledge of the matter said.
The company was not available for comment.
The force majeure was initially expected to be lifted in early October following the opening of a key railway route connecting northwestern and southern Europe. However, it remained in place Wednesday, with expectations of it being lifted by the end of the week.
Although a force majeure declaration was made, supplies were said to be reaching consumers through other means.
