The US Department of Commerce said Monday the preliminary antidumping determinations in its investigation of cold-drawn mechanical tubing from six countries will be delayed.
The preliminary determinations in the case, which involve cold-drawn mechanical tube imports from China, Germany, Italy, India, South Korea and Switzerland, are due no later than November 15, extended from a prior deadline of September 26, Commerce said.
Commerce previously postponed the deadline for its preliminary determinations in the countervailing duty investigation of cold-drawn mechanical tubing from India and China. A ruling on that case is expected no later than September 18.
ArcelorMittal Tubular Products, Michigan Seamless Tube, PTC Alliance, Webco Industries and Zekelman Industries filed a petitions for the investigations April 19.
The scope of the investigations covers cold-drawn mechanical tubing of carbon and alloy steel in circular cross-sections, in actual outside diameters less than 331 mm, and regardless of wall thickness, surface finish, end finish or industry specification, Commerce said.
The estimated dumping margins claimed by the petitioners are 87.58%-186.86% for China, 77.7%-209.06% for Germany, 33.80% for India, 37.08%-68.95% for Italy, 12%-48% for South Korea, and 38.02%-52.21% for Switzerland.
