Northeast China was still the largest gasoil producer in the first eight months of this year, with output hitting 22.19-mil mt, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics.
The volume accounted for 21.51% of China's total, down by 1.3 percentage points year on year, the data showed.
Northwest China took up the second place, producing 17.02-mil mt; South China followed with 14.78-mil mt of gasoil yield.
In August alone, Northeast China's gasoil output declined by 5.7% on month to 2.63-mil mt, the data also indicated.
The drop was mainly due to maintenance of Dalian Petrochemical, market sources said.
