Ineos was restarting the second of its two Brazoria County steam crackers shut as Harvey pummeled the Texas coast more than a week ago, according to a regulatory filing.
The filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality said UK-based producer was restarting its 875,000 mt/year Olefins No. 2 unit in Alvin, Texas and expected 24 hours of flaring through early Thursday.
A similar filing on Wednesday said Ineos had restarted its Olefins No. 1 unit, which has the same capacity as the second unit.
A company spokesman was not available for comment.
