Chevron Phillips Chemical reported flaring early Thursday at its Port Arthur, Texas, complex.
The company did not mention in a posting on a community hotline which units, if any, were affected or the cause of the flaring. But a source with knowledge of operations said the flaring was completed by Thursday morning.
Chevron Phillips spokesman Bryce Hallowell declined to comment, citing company policy.
The Port Arthur facility houses an 830,000 mt/yr ethylene unit and a world-scale cyclohexane unit.
