Toluene inventory in East China stood at 92,000 mt on July 31, up 8.24% from the end of June, S&P Global Platts data showed Tuesday.
The rise in inventory was due to an increase in imported cargoes and slower draw on stocks, a market source said.
A total of 32,858 mt of imported volumes from South Korea, Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines had arrived at Zhangjiagang as of July 31 while the draw on stocks in recent weeks stood at 8,000-10,000 mt, compared with the usual 20,000 mt per week, the source added.
The last time inventory was above 90,000 mt was on May 7, Platts data showed.
