Italy-based Eusider has signed a long-term agency agreement with Iran Ferroalloys Industries Company, the biggest ferrosilicon producer in Iran, the Italian service center and trader company told S&P Global Platts.
"We believe that FeSi market offers us the right space to market Iran Ferroalloys Industry materials and through this agreement, we will add value to our clients as we will be able to offer on regular basis different quality grade materials," the company said.
Eusider is an Italian steel service center with 14 productive sites all over Europe, and it is also a trading company in the metallurgical segment.
Eusider opened a raw materials trading business back in 2015 focusing on hot briquetted iron and pig iron.
In 2016 it entered into ferroalloys markets, mainly ferrosilicon, ferrochrome and ferromanganese.
According to its website, Iran Ferroalloys Industries is the first and the biggest Iranian ferrosilicon producer founded in 1987 in Azna, Lorestan Province.
The company has three furnaces and an annual capacity of 60,000 mt of 75% FeSi.
