Representatives from Brazil's steel institute Aco Brasil reinforced the support of the sector to the economic policy and the reforms conducted by the government of President Michel Temer.
The executives met with the president on Monda in Brasilia.
Sergio Leite, vice president of Aco Brasil, said they have been following the evolution of economic policy and it is important to move in that direction.
"We support the government's economic policy line," said Leite, also the CEO of Brazil's integrated steelmaker Usiminas.
