DuPont has completed restart procedures at its steam cracker in Orange, Texas, sources said Friday.
DuPont did not respond to a request for comment.
DuPont spokesman Michael Hiteshew said Wednesday the company was "expecting startup over the next day or so, assuming all goes well."
Startup activities at the 680,000 mt/year cracker began May 8, according to a filing with state regulators.
Planned maintenance at the cracker began April 20 and were expected to last 15-25 days, sources said.
