Run rates of Shandong's independent refineries averaged 36% as of Thursday, a rise of 7.06 percentage points from a week ago, but down by 4.71 percentage points from a year ago, according to C1 research.
Crude throughput of some independent refineries increased as oil product retail ceilings became unlikely to drop amid rises in international crude prices, market sources said.
A total of 24 of the independent refineries were in operations on Thursday, with daily throughput up by 14,400mt on week to 73,500mt, according to C1 research.
C1 research involves in 32 independent refineries, with annual oil refining capacities aggregating 67.35-mil mt, accounting for 91% of the total topping refinery of Shandong independent refineries.
