European ferrovanadium came off on the week as sources said offers from producers and traders were splitting the market.
"I'm offering $28/kg but I hear producers are offering at $27.50/kg now," one European trader said.
A second trader said he had received an offer at $28.30/kg but the seller was biddable as the heat in the market was now cooling down.
Sources said a tender in Ukraine was concluded at $27.70/kg DDP for 10 mt Russian material.
Others agreed prices were slipping.
"There was a big increase for around two months and now it seems the rally is over," a third European trader said, adding offers at $28/kg were being rejected.
Platts assessed its weekly European ferrovanadium price on Thursday at $27.50-$28.20./kg from $28-$28.20/kg.
