Sinopec Qingdao Refining & Chemical sold three LPG cargoes by barge totaling 5,400mt in the week ended Sep 2, down by 900mt or 14.3% from the previous week, according to a refinery source.
The source ascribed the decline to relatively low barge prices in Northeast China.
However, Qingdao Refining & Chemical faced few LPG inventory pressures at present as it is yet to resume normal LPG production, the source said.
It produces around 1,100mt per day of LPG currently, the source added.
Qingdao Refining & Chemical, located in Qingdao City of Shandong Province, has an annual topping capacity of 10-mil mt. It normally produces 1,800mt per day of LPG commodity, about a half of which is shipped to South China and East China’s Zhejiang Province.
