Turkey's Petkim has raised list prices for high density injection, blowmolding and polyvinyl chloride due to increased demand and more limited availability, a source close to the company said Monday.
HDPE injection and blowmolding were listed $20/mt higher at $1,420/mt and $1,415/mt respectively.
PVC K67 prices were listed $20/mt higher at $1,220/mt.
Turkish HDPE prices were assessed up $21/mt at $1,244/mt amid a continued lack of availability.
Turkish PVC prices were assessed up $32/mt, to $1,000/mt CFR Turkey.
Tightness in the supply of polymers in the Middle East this year should continue into March with, in particular, polypropylene set to to be short well beyond the first quarter, trade sources said.
"It is very difficult to get certain grades of PP and PE [polyethylene]," a Dubai-based trader said.
