Zhejiang Meifu Petrochemical plans to put on stream its newly built 1-mil-mt/yr residue fluid catalytic cracker in Jiaxing City of East China's Zhejiang Province this November, a senior with the company said.
The company will start operations of other units at the same time, consisting of a 250,000-mt/yr gas fractionation unit, a 300,000-mt/yr hydrorefining unit, a 10,000Nm3/h hydrogen unit, a 40,000-mt/yr MTBE unit and a 10,000-mt/yr sulphur recovery unit, according to the source.
"All major units are in position now", said the source.
"The feedstock will mainly be imported fuel oil, but we will also consider domestic resources with reasonable prices and stable sources", the source added.
About 3 kilometers away from the site of the Zhejiang Meifu Petrochemical is the Zhejiang Zhapu MeiFu Port & Storage. The latter has 112,000-cu-m oil product terminals and a jetty which can accommodate 40,000-50,000-DWT oil tankers.
