Workers at Yamana Gold's Minera Florida gold mine in central Chile voted over the weekend to reject the latest pay offer from management and continue their strike into a second week, the union said in a statement.
Last year, the underground mine produced 112,580 oz of gold and 660,997 oz of silver.
Workers walked out on December 6 after negotiations on a new collective pay deal ended without agreement.
"While we have made progress and reached some agreement, there are still some of our demands which have not been met," union president Carlos Contreras said.
Yamana is also holding collective talks with workers at its El Penon mine in northern Chile. If no agreement is reached, workers at the underground mine could go on strike from early next month.
