Dutch and German spot contracts were trending lower Friday morning, correcting from gains at the end of Thursday's session despite cooler temperatures expected early next week and higher demand.

By midday London time, TTF day-ahead was last done at Eur17.95/MWh, ticking down 2.5 euro cent. The German GASPOOL and NetConnect peers were posting bigger falls of 15 euro cent and 7.5 euro cent each to be last dealt at Eur17.45/MWh and Eur17.85/MWh, respectively.

NCG's premium to GASPOOL widened to 40 euro cent by midday Friday from 32.5 euro cent Thursday.

Temperatures were expected to tick lower but remain above seasonal norms in most areas. CustomWeather forecast temperatures in Amsterdam at 1 degree Celsius above seasonal norms Friday dropping to 1 C below Monday.

Berlin, in the GASPOOL area, was predicted to be at seasonal norms Friday, inching down to 3 C below Monday. In Munich in the NCG area, temperatures were forecast to be 5 C above seasonal norms Friday and drop sharply to 2 C below on Monday.

At around midday London time, Platts Analytics' Eclipse Energy forecast end-of-day consumption in the Netherlands at 126.7 million cu m Friday, increasing to 135.8 million cu m Monday.

In Germany, consumption was forecast at 325.8 million cu m Friday, rising to 353.8 million cu m Monday.

The short-term demand model is calculated from the latest demand, temperature and wind speed out-turns.

Real-time Norwegian flow rates into Emden-Dornum on the Dutch-German border were indicated at 118.99 million cu m/day at around midday London time Friday, according to Norway's transmission systems operator Gassco, down from 122.28 million cu m/day at the same time Thursday.

Storage withdrawals were picking up. Net storage withdrawals into the Dutch network were nominated at 113.63 million cu m/d Friday at 11:00 am London time, from nominated net sendout of around 74.8 million cu m Thursday, according to Platts Analytics data.

Further out, losses were less pronounced. TTF December delivery was last traded at Eur17.75/MWh, down by 5 euro cent while the GASPOOL and NCG counterparts were also down by 7.5 euro cent and 5 euro cent each at Eur17.30/MWh and Eur17.625/MWh, respectively.
