MEGlobal will increase its North American benchmark for monoethylene glycol by 2 cents/lb ($44/mt) to 40 cents/lb ($882/mt) for December, market sources said Friday.
The increase will mark the third consecutive for the company.

LyondellBasell announced a December MEG price increase of 4 cents/lb, and Shell Chemical has planned a rise of 2 cents/lb for December, the companies said in respective letters to customers earlier last week.
The November US MEG contract was assessed at 32.99-33.49 cents/lb, up 0.59 cent from October, based on a weighted formula that discounts the North American benchmark price.
