China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation, or Sinopec, subsidiaries have raised its ex-works orthoxylene offers in East China to Yuan 6,450/mt, equivalent to about $796/mt on an import parity basis, from Tuesday, up Yuan 150/mt, a source close to the matter said Friday.
China-based market participants said there were limited spot cargoes available in the domestic market.
The last time Sinopec raised its OX price was on October 19, when it was raised by Yuan 150/mt to Yuan 6,300/mt.
