Japan's exports of ethylene and ethylene derivatives in July amounted to 158,200 ethylene equivalent tons, or EET, down 5.9% from a month earlier, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said late Thursday.
Compared with a year earlier, the exports marked a 4.5% decline.
Meanwhile, Japan's ethylene and ethylene derivatives imports rose to 67,500 EET in July, up 21.2% from a month earlier and a rise of 87.5% from a year ago.
