Dalian in Northeast China's Liaoning province is expected to complete construction of a 300,000-DWT oil jetty in Changxing Island at the end of 2011, according to a source with Dalian Port Oil Terminal Co (transliteration).
"The oil jetty came under construction in March 2010, with construction scheduled to last about one year and a half,"said the source, who is an engineering director of this project.
This jetty is scheduled to be equipped with 4.2-mil cu m of tanks in the future, said the source.
Dalian Port Oil Terminal also plans to begin construction of a 100,000-DWT jetty in the first half of 2012, according to market sources.
C1 reported previously that Brightoil was constructing a large oil tank farm in Changxing Island, together with a 300,000-DWT jetty.
Dalian Port Oil Terminal is a subsidiary of Dalian Port Group, engaged in the shipping and storage of petroleum products and liquid chemical products.
