The June bidweek natural average price fell 2 cents to $1.81/MMBtu, as prices in the Midwest and New England made the largest declines, according to Inside FERC's Gas Market Report Wednesday.
The June bidweek price at the benchmark Henry Hub fell 3 cents to average $1.96/MMBtu. That came as the NYMEX June contract settled at $1.963/MMBtu, down 3.2 cents from the May contract's close of $1.995/MMBtu.
In the Upper Midwest, Chicago city-gates fell 10 cents to average $1.94/MMBtu. Elsewhere in the region, Consumers Energy and Michigan Consolidated city-gates both dropped 11 cents to average $1.97/MMBtu and $1.94/MMBtu, respectively.
Upstream, prices at Rockies Express Zone 3 made a smaller move down, dipping 3 cents to average $1.87/MMBtu.
Toward Northeast markets, Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Zone 6 New York traded higher, adding 8 cents to average $1.53/MMBtu.
In New England, Algonquin Gas Transmission city-gates dropped 41 cents to average $2.11/MMBtu.
Elsewhere in the region, Iroquois Gas Transmission Zone 2 fell 18 cents to average $2.04/MMBtu.
Upstream in the Northeast producing regions, Dominion, Appalachia, rose 8 cents to average $1.39/MMBtu.
To the west, prices mostly moved higher as Northwest Pipeline-Rockies averaged $1.78/MMBtu after adding a cent. Cheyenne Hub also added 1 cent to average $1.77/MMBtu.
Along the West Coast, Southern California Gas rose 3 cents to average $1.90/MMBtu. Elsewhere in the region, El Paso, Permian Basin prices were up 1 cent to average $1.81/MMBtu.
