Private exporters reported Friday the sale of 290,000 mt of corn in one day, the US Department of Agriculture said Monday.
Of the total, 170,000 mt were for delivery to Japan during the 2015-16 marketing year (September-August) and 120,000 mt were for delivery to unknown destination, also for the current marketing year.
Exporters are required to report any US export sales of 100,000 mt or more of a single agricultural commodity, made in one day, to the USDA.
